Most of the electrical generators used with wind turbines generate Direct Current (DC). The direct current is converted to alternating current by using an Inverter. The alternating current (AC) will be ready for our consumption at homes, businesses, farms, and utilities.

In grid connected wind systems in which the turbine generator generates DC current, the inverter will receive the DC current from the turbine generator and convert it to AC current, and then transfer the converted AC current to the electrical grid via the electrical panel.
